The weather for the morning was forecasted to have some rain drops, but as we got closer to the top of the hour for the photo

shoot there was a break and the sun came out for a wonderful day that lead to five locations along the East Coast a long trails,

waterfalls, harbors and a famous lighthouse from Forrest Gump Movie!

The Marshal Point Lighthouse is one of the most photographed in the state of Maine because it was made famous the movie called Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. Not only is this lighthouse visually appealing in a way that it is suitable to be photographed, but it's a favorite to locals and tourists that come from afar to visit Rockport in Maine!

The Marshal Point Lighthouse has a wooden catwalk that served as the end of Forrest's run accross the country in the 1994 movie!

But, of all of the 65 Maine lighthouses a long the Maine's coast, the lighthouse stands in the recess of the bay and has a famous lighthouse bell. All though most of the film is set in Alabama, filming took place in and around Beaufort, South Carolina as well as parts of coastal Virginia and North Carolina, including a running shot on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the downtown portions of the fictional town of Green Bow are filmed in Varnville, South Carolina.

The bench that Hanks/Forrest sat on was actually a movie prop that has since been placed in the Savannal History Museum. But, the location of the bench for the movie in Chippewa Square is still a popular spot for photographers.

Filming of Forrest Gump was also done in Monument Valley in Utah- the lighthouse that was used in the movie is Marshall Point Lighthouse, Port Clyde, Maine
